I know our band made the trip. How did we show at halftime?

I agree. The band lately has been boring at halftime. Both musically and visually. These other Big 12 Bands are getting ahead of I’m afraid. Will Okie State bring their band?
I’ve been asking Bertman for the past several years to return the color guard or some type of additional visuals to SOH other than the lone twirler at the halftime performances…I live in the Katy area and there’s lots of students that come from Katy High, Thompkins, Taylor, Cinco Ranch, Jordan and other bands who have awesome color guards and would love to join SOH but they complain because SOH no longer have the color guards. Back when I was in SOH 82-84 the Cougar Dolls also doubled as “color guard” sometimes in show presentations but we also had official color guards who could also twirl “rifles” SOH back then was VERY ENTERTAINING! Maybe it’ll help if you express your sentiments to David Bertman as well. I’m honestly embarrassed when other bands come (i.e. Tech, TCU, Baylor, UTSA, UT,etc with color guards and other entertaining parts and they totally “mop the floor” with SOH…you should hear the complaints in the stands on how boring and no enteraining SOH is. Hopefully if we continue to request, the color guard will return! And to answer your question regarding Okie St. Band, I’m not sure but I’ll try to find out. Hopefully they will and “show up” SOH on the halftime show again. I’m finished with my rant!! #GoCoogs!
