Actually, I am even more pleased with the love they’ve shown for America, and OUR culture…
Through their fresh sets of eyes, we are reminded of what a Great Country WE live in…
In Japan, and a few other countries, the students clean their schools.

Japan won me over a long time ago. We obliterated the entire populations of two of their cities and they didn’t hold a grudge.

Beginning with the attack on Pearl Harbor….

Following the War, the United States helped rebuild their country and protect them from China for 80 years.
Fast forward to today, and their culture has become a part of American culture… their people have assimilated in the U.S. and make our Nation even better. Today, they are one of our best Allies.
…and we don’t hold a grudge either… or shouldn’t.
A more cynical person might say we built them back up to help ourselves contain both the Russian and Chinese threats.
There’s a LOT of truth to that.
The two perspectives are not incongruent…
We’ve given them Freedom from Imperialism, Democracy, and… Baseball.
They’ve given us another example of high standards, hard work, and some great cuisine… to add to the “melting pot”…
Japanese Americans are true Americans…
Like the British, French, Spanish, Africans, Germans, Polish, Irish, Italians, Indians, etc…
I don’t care where they come from, as long as they assimilate (and enhance) our culture, contribute to society, and are loyal to America.

Meanwhile we have people just littering like they don’t give a crap about where they live. Saw someone on 288 the other day just roll their window down and throw out a to go box out the window. Then proceeded to cut me off. I don’t get why people litter. Just asinine
It starts at home.
One acts in the same manner in public as they’re brought up at home. Teachers help but habits and mores are built in before school starts.
It’s not DNA. It’s what kind of environment one lives in and what they’re allowed to do or not to do, and what’s expected —- community-wise and family-wise.
That’s my politically correct thought for the day.
