Well when you join a conference that is more competitive by multiples and also lack the resources/NIL of other schools, we really have no choice but to be in a rebuild phase until we catch up with the other schools
Joining the Big 12 sure. We didnt belong on the field last week and that wasnt against Bama in the SEC.
Weve been bragging about how we would do so much more if we had the resources for decades. We wouldnt be an A&M, a miss st. Well its high time to put up or shut up. We shall see.

That’s what I’m thinking as well. I know he’ll start the game but once OU starts blowing past our OL he’ll be sacked over and over again if he can’t escape the pass rush. I mean, we know it’s coming, it’s just a matter of time before OU gets to him.
How long does Fritz hold off from making a change before putting in a QB that can run the ball? Both Chriss and Ale can run so we stand a better chance of avoiding sacks and making plays as opposed to being sacked repeatedly.

again, when it comes to actual B12 competition, sure. Rice, UNLV… and even Cinci, UCF last season wasnt that.
Im not saying Fritz isnt the guy. Im saying its time for us to put up or shut up. The clock is ticking. The excuses are starting to run out. We had better showings prior to having ‘resources.’ Now that we have the resources we regress and need time?

We had to fire both Dana and Pezman. I think UH’s football problems extended beyond the HC. That said, Fritz has already made a lot of progress despite the bad debut. Recruiting alone for 2025 and beyond is miles ahead of what Dana did

To Fritz credit, he played Ale in garbage time and noted that Ale made the throws regardless of 2nd & 3rd string D.
Note: I have seen this happen to UH for several seasons and especially last year. Opposing teams crowding the line with 7 D players.
When you have a player who can roll out and complete passes on the run or get yards running the ball, teams must adjust. This helps open lanes for the RB’s. Chriss made a few good runs before his injury and moved the ball better.

I agree that Ale was playing against backups, but that TD throw was still quite impressive given he’s a lefty.

dana was def a wrench in the machine. I def think the recruiting is better. Im just getting fatigued from all this. lol.

I’m mad as hell but you do realize we haven’t nor will we receive a full share for two years? You act as if after one year we’ve made up the difference of Baylor, Tech, OSU, KU, etc… getting way more money for the last 29 years.
That said, get it together CWF! I don’t need to win but that team was flat, boring, and as bad as any under CDH.

Welcome to the vicious cycle of Coog Fandom…once you get a taste of glory, it becomes hard to stop “chasing the dragon”.
There will be moments you’ll want to jump off the bandwagon & call it quits, but the withdrawals will have ya fiending for more.
I speak from experience; first got a taste in the game against Memphis back on 2015. Gotta enjoy the highs & ride out the lows

I feel for the older coogs. Ive been riding strong since 2004. Peripherally in 02-03 seasons. I just want something respectable. Dont expect winning seasons all the time but geez. The fatigue is real lol. I couldnt stomach season tickets this season for the first time in 10 years. Still went to the opener and spent a pretty penny on 3 tix to use 2. Paid $30 for UH parking with some text to pay thing, and got a $30 parking ticket for not having a license plate on the front of my car, I have a temp plate on the back because I have a new vehicle; which added insult to injury after that game that I suffered through to the end lol. 
Dont mind me, Ive just hit the wall lol

Yeah, dont think we’ve had something sustainably competitive, I’m not even asking for winning, just plain competitive & entertaining since mid-2016.
Although some 2017 & 2018 games were good & even hopeful, when Kendal Briles & D’Eriq King were puttin up TD’s all over the place.
I guess as we all learn sooner or later…it aint easy being a Cougar.

Anyone know how successful parking ticket disputes are at UH? Whatever dingus issued me a ticket for not having a plate on the front doesn’t know how temporary plates work. I disputed it on Saturday and haven’t heard anything.
