Texans OC

Bobby Slowik is out as the Texans OC.

I am surprised, he didn’t draft Kenyon Green.

Tough to coach players with substandard talent.
Flipside: Their job was to make them better.

EDIT: I was referring to the OL coaches.

As for the OC… wasn’t he the toast of the town the year before?

I didn’t think they’d do it, but I’m glad they did

Case Keenum to OC position?

Texans QB Coach Jerrod Johnson being floated for OC with NY Jets. Both Johnson and newly named head coach Aaron Glenn are both Aggies.

Could the Texans hire Case Keenum as QB Coach?

They will want someone with experience

Not a chance for him as OC but I think he will end up on a staff soon and given some experience he could get there at some point. He’s been in a lot of places in his NFL career and you know he’s got to have a bunch of contracts

Texans OL fresh start probably not a house cleaning
w some pre June 1st cut $$$ issues.

Need sure thing veteran starters at OG & OC.
Usually good OC/OG w Road Graders OG in 2nd to make sure.

Bunch of second day B12 guys started right away in 24.

Seeing Jerrod Johnson and Case Keenum at same time reminds me of this.

On that note, the predictions weren’t great on that cover. :joy:

I’m going w Chip Kelley as new OC. He & Demeco are close.

Edit: currently OC at tOSU. The last time OC at tOSU WON a Natl Ship he came to Houston soon after-- 2015. So there you go.

I don’t get why Casserio consistently gets a free pass….he got all this praise for spending a bunch of money on free agents….cool, I can do that.
I do it all the time on the baseball board with Crane!

But seriously, his drafts suck….look at these first and second round lineman he has picked!?

And his later round picks are mostly non-existent….thats where you build your depth and the Texans are severely lacking.

Other than Lassiter and Bullock he whiffed on everything else….i won’t make a big dissertation here but Nick need to look in the mirror.

I could see Case as the QB coach, but not the OC. Case was basically the co-QB coach last season. Without his guidance this year, it seems that Stroud has not progressed.

Stingley, Anderson and Stroud aren’t bad. Tank Dell has been effective.

Common….Joe Schmo could have drafted Stroud and Anderson….and would not have picked Tank unless CJ specifically asked for him.

I give Demeco a lot of credit for making this decision. I didn’t think it would happen. This tells me he’s serious about going further.

Sorry, but I give GM Nick Caserio credit. Stingley was a risk that high in the draft with injury concerns. A lot of fans wanted the CB from Cincinnati. Caserio also had to trade up to get Anderson, a bold move.

Stingley was still a top 10 pick regardless……go back and look at 2022 Mocks by legit guys……and if he was a big risk he should have traded back and got value….but like I said he was top 10 all the way.

And you give him credit for trading up to get Anderson….okay.

So he gets a pass on Green? How about Juice and Fisher? Green has to be considered one of the biggest bust in franchise history……the other two have not performed like 2nd rounders.

You should hit on most first and second rounders….

But your depth should come from the latter rounds….he struggles mightily in the later rounds….its a big reason why we have two receivers go down and we are signing malcontents off the street….no depth

This past draft was horrible.

And as far as free agency it’s not hard to throw a bag of money at guys when you are recruiting them to play for Demeco.
