Texas AG stops universities from signing CSC’s participation agreement

I can’t guarantee that any school won’t cheat again, including UH.

But I’m damn sure not going to be a part of ANY system that has no enforcement mechanism embraced by all to punish any school that does.

That’s what we’ll have if everyone doesn’t sign on to this.

And that’s what we DON’T want.

The deadline to sign is supposed to be 12/3. To date, no school has agreed to the terms, though Tech apparently signed “accidentally.”

Seems like at least ONE P4 school would have signed by now if it was a done deal. Lol.

Some interesting reading. I didn’t know what the CSC even was.

If I was an attorney ( which I am not ) advising a client on this I would advise them not to sign this agreement in its present form. Sign nothing with fill in after clauses after signing. It’s Ludicrous .

Here comes a CSC man with a paper and pen
Telling us our hard times are about to end.
(adapted from King Harvest has Surely Come, The Band)

Just sign, the CSC has come to help youuuu.

Couple thoughts:
If the players are already getting $20 million in revenue sharing, plus legit NIL that can be many thousands of dollars, then any “cheat” funds would have to be pretty high to make a difference and much easier to track. Thus harder to cheat. This is why some schools do not want to have their NIL validated because that would reduce cheating.

Still good to verify how review and punishment is covered to be sure we do not get smaller name schools getting punished for name school violations. It must be guaranteed to be equal before signing or have some form of check or exit clause if not.

nobody is getting kicked out. That is ridiculous. The nig boys want this because in the last two years, non-blue bloods have risen and are threatening their power structure already.

They need to get the spending under control, or risk falling off. They like the bag man way of recruiting.

Can you cite a reference for either of the two schools saying they specifically oppose enforcement mechanisms?

The Bigger they are, the softer they fall.

Are you sure?

How many teams in the Final Four in last year’s playoffs weren’t large brand blue bloods?

Hint: ZERO!!!

The natty game was between two of the largest brand blue bloods of all: ND and Ohio State.

Trust me. The blue bloods aren’t afraid.

Tech is simply afraid that their sugar daddy will be reined in.

Let THEM die on that hill.

And even if they don’t get kicked out (which isn’t unthinkable) for this, they could lose a year of conference revenue distributions and bowl eligibility.

Let that happen to THEM….NOT us.

The fact that they are not signing on to them.

That’s the very thing that Tech and Baylor are refusing to agree to.

Your timeline is skewed…again.
When did the teetech money started coming in?
When did the NIL started?
All of the above is recent.
When did the agreement was pushed by the blue bloods?
Just the last few months.
Coincidence?
Only a sushi sous chef in Bamako, Mali would think so.

Even in the NIL era we have not seen a have not play for a natty.

Again, the blue bloods ain’t scared.

Tech is.

The rich are getting richer.

I agree with this
If we sign we better make sure we get representation on any enforcement committee permanently

I would not be surprised to learn that one of the narcissist billionaires from Tech reached out to his bud, the narcissist Texas AG, and asked him to blow up up the proposed agreement because of the built in inequities Both narcissists understand that those in power get to craft, rules, policies and procedures that redound to their benefit Doing so ensures they remain in power. The powerless have no choice but to comply or reap the whirlwind.
It’s the ultimate college football version of CRT.

What Baylor protecting?

Ask the AG. He’s a Baylor alumnus.

uhhh, we have had one year of the current cfp, and one year of nil…;eveling up might take more than 13 games. so the blue bloods are still in the drivers seat…but that will change.
