No way a 9-3 Texas jumps an 11-1 BYU. Texas lost to 3-9 Florida. There will be so much outrage especially when you put the committeeā€™s own metrics to the selection. BYUā€™s SOR is #7.

Would we have a better showing (fewer number might look like more in smaller Alamo dome or do our fans find excuses to not go to SA) fans in Hou or SA??

I think we show out well for NRG events.

Bowls get to choose their Big12 selection in order (after CFP) of Alamo, PopTarts then Houston(Texas bowl) then others.

I would think Alamo or Texas bowl would want us over ArizState or Utah, right?

Got it planned so Iā€™ll be visiting parents in Houston during Texas Bowl and then taking the family on a mini vacay to SA during Alamo Bowl. Wife thought it was quite the coincidence.

If someone sues ESPN they will just expand the playoff field to suit their needs and everyone goes away happy

5 SEC teams ainā€™t getting inā€¦ UT had a shot if one of the 4 in the top 10 lostā€¦ but they didnā€™t.

And the same % of SEC teams will get in. This doesnā€™t stop until every SEC team is in the playoff.

Then theyā€™ll wheel Saban out and heā€™ll say it should be an exclusive SEC tournament because northern teams donā€™t have to play with mosquitos or some bull #%.
