BYU went to the Las Vegas Bowl several times in a row in the mid 2000s but since 2012 they have not even played in a single bowl twice, let alone back-to-back they have a national following and honestly flights to Orlando are probably no more expensive than San Antonio, everything points to them going to the Pop Tart’s Bowl.
The Citrus Bowl, Texas vs Michigan matchup has been getting traction, I can only imagine the ratings, its a no brainer.

It’s different when your team plays in it imo. You realize it’s plenty serious, but that doesn’t mean it cant be fun.
Maybe you’ll feel differently afterwards too, should it happen. JMO @UHCoog

I doubt the players would be excited about a trip to San Antonio. I bet the players would rather make it easy on family and friends to attend the bowl than go to Orlando in December.

Citrus and Pop Tarts, two bowl games in the same stadium 4 days apart. That’s a short turn-around.
Cure Bowl, too, 13 days before the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
It’s a turf field, I’m sure it’ll be fine. (Disregard the fact that we had a ghosted Progressive logo on our field all season from the Roughnecks.)

I often wonder why we don’t. If DFW can have four bowls (five with the newly-cobbled-together Xbox Bowl) and the East-West Shrine Game, surely Houston can have two, right?

I appreciate the bowls starting weird traditions for what are basically ho-hum games. The Camping World Bowl became interesting when it became the Pop-Tart’s Bowl and a costumed mascot started to self-immolate himself.
