Digs up Taco Tech’s plan but not Renu’s?
Here’s but a small sample.
Negative.
Of all the people on this website, @Cullen. You’re the last person I would expect to not know or to doubt Renu has a plan. As Former Shasta showed, there is a plan.

She must have not mentioned it the last time they met face to face, for the discussion about her vision.
She didn’t mention it…only that we need to reduce low ROI commuter students but assuming lowering those type of students will help wirh graduation rate which helps with AAU
Are you suggesting current UH students are low ROI?
What is a high ROI?

Im suggesting we are nfinitely better than when i was a ‘live on campus’ student in the late 90s when it was pretty bad.
This is evident in every metric and it is thanks to the tireless effort of Dr. Khator HOWEVER we are not done…we still have a ton of work left to do.
Id like to see our low ROI + Commuter students down to the 20-25% range which will help us even more.
Renember, TAMU celebrates they have low ROI students in the 3% range.
That’s a bit ambitious…but 25% is a good balance
How does one determine a high “ROI” student? Skin color?
Okay so Texas State is a traditional campus yet has lower grad rates than UH
Skin color…WHAT?
UT Austin and almost all other P4 Universities have a ton of Hispanic, Indian, Asian and black High ROI students!
They are super passionate about their alma mater
They ARE passionate about their Univetsity while attending and after Graduating compared to LOW ROI students that have no involvement WHILE attending and zero interaction as a alum.
Way to play the race card, Norbet.
I know dozens of low ROI white students and dozens of high ROI minority students.
My father was a very low ROI UH student if that gives you a point of reference
Texas State isnt a P4…we are!
So how does Khator get high “ROI” students? Is there a grading system in the SAT? Or GPA? There’s no guarantee anyone is going to be a “high roi” graduate, you’re living in fantasy land (we already knew that), and if UH asked questions like that, they’d be sued to high heavens.
Why do you continue to want to accept students that hate UH, want no involvement while attending, leave the second their class ends, have zero involvement as alums, and give nothing back to their alma mater in terms of support, mentoring current students and financial donations.
I could care less about their skin color…im a Houston native…i know how diverse Houston is.
Why do you want more apathetic students…haven’t we turned that corner…GEEZ
Only you hate UH and its current students and alumni. Why would anyone go to UH if they hated it? Well maybe you did, and are bitter about it.
You must have missed the memo that high ROI students only come from P4
schools.

P4s , by having a students must live on campus mandate, produce high ROI
students. The data presented shows this !

I’ll stop with the sarcasm and only add that from I read here, if we had all freshmen
and sophomores required to live on campus, many have stated we don’t have enough of an entertainment district near campus to keep them satisfied. So that would be a big hole in Renu’s master plan, that hasn’t been addressed.
