Thanks for the Memories Big Ed

Shelly Duvall, really?

Her Dad is the absolute best.

He might surprise us and say LSU

Well when I graduated from Waltrip H.S. 40 yrs ago it was pretty much considered suburbs back then, just like Spring Branch etc. Been in todays suburbs for 30 yrs now. Time goes.

Yep grew up in Aldine when it was a working class community. Don’t recognize it now.

Used to go to State every year under Bill Smith.

Her and Swayze were before me but both S.P. Waltrip grads.

Ed said the same thing about the possibility of playing in a bowl as he was quoted saying about the possibility of playing against Memphis a few days ago. He did play for one half so I’m not sure why 4 weeks of rest would make it less likely he played.

Huhhh. Lost me. Come again

I am just surprised on all the posts
No one mentions that Big Ed jumps offsides twice during crucial plays in the 1st half which negated stops
and then resulted in touchdowns
and in the second half he does not play. Really? Offsides? And while being offsides and stopping to play, we made the stops anyways. Well, as they say, thanks Ed. The OC’s game plan is another subject entirely, as in did he have one? A certain set is working great, so let’s go for the trick plays with a fresh QB that result in losses, and we never get momentum, rhythm, nor timing. Just a bizarre game to watch. I think we could’ve won, and we did for 3 quarters. Go Coogs.

Was actually tied after 3 qtrs Rayos but it’s ok, better team won. Too many injuries to overcome.
#nextyear

Did Ed pick on you in grade school or something? Your first posts of football season were to complain about Ed during the Texas Tech game. Then you go mostly quiet for the rest of the season until the Tulane debacle and then you were toxic as hell about wanting him off the team for good.

Anyone with two eyes could see that in the first half, even though Ed helped two drives continue, he also stopped several more drives which didn’t happen the entire second half.

Now looking forward to freezing my ass off watching the Spring game

Just watch the game. And I do think it would’ve been better that he left after being injured when he did not want to play against SMU, Temple, and Tulane. Jeez, it is what it is. Watch the game again and you tell me. Peace.

By the way, he didn’t play in the second half?! Ooops sarcasm. Good one.

Memphis scored 17 points on 9 drives in the first half and 35 points on 7 drives in the second half including the drive they ran out the clock. Houston had a lot more stops with Ed than without Ed. Especially if you account for 1 of the first half TDs was when Ed was resting. Follow me now?

14 of those 17 points 1st half points were a result of Ed’s offsides
just saying. Follow me now

And he didn’t play in the 2nd half
still following? But of course, the OC’s choices were another thing altogether in what played out. And yes, him not being there in the 2nd half destroyed our defense. But our offense? Another question.

Exactly, we were still in the game. Go Coogs! Crazy all the things that can happen in a season, and not just to us. I like your posts. Win the bowl and see what next season brings.
