Thanksgiving Day Off

Let’s all take a day off from arguing here on Thanksgiving. Enjoy the time with friends and family. Then we can go right back to insulting each other on Friday.

That’s always been my policy.

Is this another one of those communist takeovers of our holidays.

What is next “lets not talk about religion on Christmas”

“Lets give up our guns on easter”

“Lets give up our civil liberties on the fourth of July”

“Let’s give up our free market on labor day”.

“Let’s all dress up like scary capitalist oppressors on Halloween.”

Let’s all salute our fallen heroes who gave their lives for mother Russia on Memorial day.

Slippery slope to communism. I know what you are doing.

I don’t know what you have planned for groundhogs day, but i will be ready and standing resolutely.

Thanksgiving is religious based. I did not think athiests celebrated religious bases holidays.

Yeah exactly, arguing on thanksgiving goes all the way back to Jesus. Jesus and Peter got into it at the last supper.

I even like Christmas. The Santa stuff, especially. Christmas has football this year instead of just NBA hoops.

Modern holidays have origins in ancient festivals mostly around celebrating harvests and fertility. People love to party like it’s 1999.

Getting drunk and arguing about politics on thanksgiving is a time-honored tradition, though.
