You’re probably right. This is more of a hunch. Every year we get at least one game in which the refs blatantly swing the whistle in the opponent’s favor. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s tomorrow.
Better now, than vs a team like Tennessee.

I do. Lol just making sure if you’re taking about me, you quote me.
How are you going to measure PPG and depth when those minutes and stats were accumulated against much weaker opponents during blowouts?
You honestly think Gonzaga’s PPG and bench would average same points in a major conference?
St Mary’s is the closest opponent to us in the WCC and they held Gonzaga to 3 of their 4 lowest totals of the season. They had 2, 3, and 4 players in double figures. Nothing close to 7.
I wasn’t talking about any specific person, if you look at my post it doesn’t have a reference post.
Well, if free throws (or free throw disparities) aren’t going to be a factor, I would say BIG TIME advantage Coogs.
How can someone say they don’t have any depth when that is ALSO based on the same opponents?
Again, you can’t throw out their schedule for PPG and then use the same schedule to justify something else.
Self defeating logic.
That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying PPG can be deceiving if you’re a high volume team that plays at a solid P5 level against mid-major competition for half your season.
The real key for me is not letting the PG get that puppet master thing going. If he’s successfully moving it around to good looks that’s when we’ll get into trouble. Turn him into a one man band and this gets very comfortable quickly.
Just don’t let them blitz us like Miami or McNeese and we’re good.
There is no secret to CKS defense. Everyone knows the defense but what makes it formidable is essentially the thousand of hours taken to perfect the execution. That is what makes CKS practices so hard. The culture CKS talks about is essentially getting the right talent who can execute this. It takes almost inhuman effort to perfect. So, Tommy Lloyd mouth or Few ears are irrelevant.
Don’t think Lloyd would go against conference mates for ex employer.
20 year history and besties? Yeah I’m sure he emailed AZ’s scout over
Lloyd was Few’s #2 man for 20 years
He would 100% help few
But also samspon says we do the same with conference mates of opponents we play. It’s a common practice to put loyalty in friendship over conference
The Duke game was going fine until the B12 POY got hurt.
Hi Mark, its Tommy, I’d give you advice on how to beat Houston, but I haven’t done it
Yup, just get to the x, y coordinate faster and shoot, take the first shot you get, do not overthink blah blah. If only it was that easy to beat the Coogs. . Some geniuses here think it is like a recipe.
IMO if we can play our brand of D and get to the half without fouling too much, we should be ok. To me, Huff is the guy to stop. He’s smart and tough and he gets into stuff. Battle will get his points and IKE is a beast but if we double him I don’t think he can pass out of it. The Zags come from the west coast where if you fart next to the guy refs call a foul. St Mary’s is the most physical team in the WCC and the Zags had trouble with them, so I’m confident we can slow down their offense.
This Lloyd-Few convo is hysterical. Few is a big boy and knows how to watch game film. He might even know how to strategize against his opponent.
Mark Few is a genius. I call him genius because he built Gonzaga up and kept it built up for years. His smartest move was NOT moving. Word is he’s had some absurd offers to move on and he has declined.
