NCAA, for the most part, protected every #1 seed except for UH.
We’ve won at The Phog, McKale, and Lubbock. Can you think of three tougher venues? We can handle Indianapolis.
No doubt we can handle it, but being in the MW is a tougher road.
The committee looks at San Antonio and says, we can’t let Houston have this that easy.
I think the potential is there for J’Wan Roberts to have a big game. Purdue has some length, but I’m not sure they have enough thickness or strength to stop J’Wan Roberts when he wants to push down low and go with his left hand jump hook or spin to the right with his right hand floater. If Purdue doubles down on J’Wan Roberts, someone else is open and Sampson will ensure that the team finds the open man. If the Coogs can go to J’Wan Roberts at-will and we are shooting well from the outside, watch out, the Coogs could have a really big game. On defense, I don’t see anyone like KU’s Hunter Dickinson–a big that could pass over the top of UH’s Monster Trap. Dickinson was good at it. Other than him, not too many college bigs that can beat the Monster Trap. Fingers crossed for an injury-free game.
Purdue has many fans including the guy that writes for their website that are not very knowledgeable.
“We aren’t long” , “we don’t rebound well”,
“ all we have to do is play them like Kansas did last year”
“Our bigs just throw it up at the rim”
It goes on and on……I guess I’m used to Big 12 fan bases being semi intelligent….and the Zags fans were very basketball savvy.
Caleb Broodo is not on our roster anymore…
Fair enough.
I’m gonna listen to Lath’s shirt.
For you gamblers, one of ESPN’s Joe Fortenbaugh’s Best Bets is under the 61.5 points in the first half Purdue vs UH game. Not a Best Bet, but Fortenbaugh likes UH -8.5 against Purdue.
Why is TA taking shots
Let’s go Coogs! Time to pour it on!
Hat tip to Painter for matching chess pieces and moves with CKS
They missed Sampson’s winning en passant at the end.
A leetle for the Peedooz!
