In the old swc , we had only Texas , Texas A&M and Arkansas as big weights. In the new big 12 in 2024 , we will have plenty of tough teams and top to bottom this will be of best conf to date. No easy teams and Byu can be Texas, ok state will be a$m and west vir etc can easily replace Arkansas or whoever you want to pop in but regardless, the new big 12 is tougher top to bottom than the old swc.
What’s your take on it?
This new big 12 is the best conf we’ve been in to date starting in 2024 when the 4 corners join or whatever yr it is.
I also think by far way stronger than the old swc top to bottom
In ‘78 we played #6, #10, #9, #6, and #10 (where teams were ranked when we played them).
In ‘76, we played #4, #5, #9, #15, and #20.
It’s hard to say. I don’t think the top of the schedule will be quite as challenging, but from top to bottom it will be more so. There won’t be any Rices or TCUs, both of whom were terrible during much of the 70s and 80s.
2023 B12 is stronger than 2024 B12.
Man, just think this time in 2 weeks we’ll be halfway through beating the hell outa the roadrunners
It’s kind of crazy considering CFB was based on regional rivals, this is what it’s come too, unfortunately.
