So sorry for your loss, Russell.
Hang onto those great memories.
My condolences.
Wow, what great memories, brought a tear to my eyes describing the closeness with your Dad. May he rest in peace.
Condolences and good vibes to the family and friends of Mr. Sollock. RWcoog, that was a nice tribute to your dad. Well done. Peace.
Condolences and celebration for the life of a loyal Coog.
Peace be with you and your family.
What a great story. What caught my attention was how often you mentioned saying Thank You, It’s great that that attitude was passed on to you. “Thank You” is a much more powerful action than most people will ever know. It is territory that mostly positive thinking people walk through.
I believe your father had God in his heart. I believe you do to.
As a child I would always say thank you. I think this had a profound effect on my dad. I remember him walking out of a game we lost to SMU in early 82, the first year of our three year run to the Final Four (I was 9). He was so upset in disbelief we lost to a really bad team. I think my words as a child brought it into a better perspective. While we were always invested in the outcome I believe he self-monitored and appreciated the moments even more.
