The Points/Miles Thread

That’s my backup. Great card, 1.5% cash back without an annual fee. When not chasing sign up bonuses, that’s my card.

Burbank is a dream compared to LAX. Absolute must if your destination is on the West Coast. Other parts of the country are not so easy.

A heads up if you weren’t aware, its 3% on restaurants and drug stores now too. Their random chase offers can be good as well, anywhere from 5-20% back on specific businesses. Only issue with that is having to add each one individually when they come in.

We learned quickly. My god the traffic on the 405. And the parking!

We were in Bakersfield so it was closer too. Wins all the way around.

I’m a big fan of Bob hope in Burbank and John Wayne in Orange County. I use LAX begrudgingly as a last resort.

I’ve used Ontario a few times, but not it quite awhile. America West used to fly cheaply out of there.

Every time I rent a car I use my Amex because of the insurance adder they have that’s free. Just thinking now, I never even bother to look what my SW card includes (if anything).

Flew into Long Beach…Reagan airport…really cool old design. Loved entering/exiting the airplane outdoors instead of down an enclosed walkway. Total breeze going threw security too.

A lot of cards have nice perks many don’t know about.

I used to almost be exclusive to Amex but they dont partner with United anymore. And uniteds program also has Premier Purchase dollar requirements and using their card makes it a bit easier when I am traveling on personal business.

The upgrades to first are nice, for me and up to 8 people traveling with me. At worst it moves me to economy plus, bulkhead isle. If i am with the fam the wife and i end up in first and the kids in economy plus.

My wife is so spoiled and hates traveling without me…lol…she doesnt get the perks when she travels alone.

Polaris level to Europe, so plush…not sure i could ever do coach again.

I have a centurion 10-speed from the 80’s

On a side note, is it crazy that cars today have 10 speed automatics?

Bikes have 22 speeds.

New cars with new transmissions, the shifting is seamless.

Back to this thread are there cards that help with the cost of a new car?

Car manufacturers have cards that give as rewards towards a down payment, but they usually suck so wouldn’t advice to get one.
