The US supreme court just basically legalized bribery | Moira Donegan | The Guardian

So what Congress has been doing with lobbyists for more than a hundred years.

So you blame the wife and not the Judge?

Both are turds.

Two wrongs don’t make a right and all that and you have to start somewhere.

Congress at least has some ethics, (as do all other judges) standards and can kick out Al Franken and George Santos but this Supreme Court looks like it’s immunized itself into a very bad joke.

They’re not fooling anyone and they know they can do whatever they want with impunity and without any consequences.

Santos ^^^^

No surprise the SC just ruled in favor of J6 insurrectionist and for stripping power from regulatory agencies.

Well, I’m still a little surprised that “conservatives” don’t stand up for the law. But
instead go for the “intent” of the law.

At the same time, the high court ruled that the charge could be filed against the rioters if prosecutors are able to demonstrate they were attempting not just to push their way into the building but rather to stop the arrival of certificates used to count electoral votes and certify the results of the election.

Roberts has lost it with this reasoning.

Does the SC work for the Onion?

It also ruled cities can arrest the homeless for sleeping out in public, yeah, we are going to arrest our way out of homelessness, good luck with that.

Maybe their thinking the homeless may be thankful for getting 3 squares a day and a hot cot. Reverse social engineering thinking, by them

Overturning Chevron is going to destroy the future of this country. I cannot overstate just how awful that decision will be for future generations.

I think you have to go Andrew Jackson on this. “The Thomas Court has made there decision, now let them enforce it.”

Start thinking about that the next time you get on a plane.

Looks like Bannon is going to jail and we may get an immunity ruling on Monday.

So many decisions of the Roberts court are going to bring a lot of pain and suffering to
so many people and with the efforts to curtail enforcement of laws , America is headed
in a very different direction. Something presidents or congress couldn’t even do. Overturning health protections, overturning gun laws, extending military like weaponry in the civilian populace,
curtailing bribery prosecutions, curtailing prosecutions of people attempting to obstruct the actual
government, and stifling agency supervision (with overturning Chevron) of industry.

And they might just be getting warmed up :face_holding_back_tears:

Lacking ethics, integrity, credibility and self awareness is a problem. Im having a problem with Gorsuch confusing nitrous oxide with a pollutant.
