Do we have any demo work left that he could help with?

I seriously doubt they are going to announce him to the fans. I expect they will honor the 2015 team and he may be out there with them but not specifically mentioned. So doubt we will have the opportunity to boo him without booing the whole team.
The assertion that he lied is incorrect. I always thought he would jump given his prior history with the horns and said so on this site at the time. I was told by several other people here, including some who claimed to have inside or well placed connections.
When I listened to Hermann, he never said he was not going to leave, but was much more nuanced about his answer. Saying you love it somewhere and then leaving is not the same as lying. Again, I listened to every word that guy said on this topic because I was curious how he would handle it and he played it right.
If you can’t handle the truth. The truth is we’re a stepping stone football school and we can either celebrate that fact and rejoice in the people that pass this way or curse our fate. But the truth remains unaltered
Every college coaching job is a stepping stone job. HOW someone chooses to leave says everything thing about them. Herman torpedoed our 2016 season for his own selfish reasons, he didn’t give a crap about the players, other coaches, fans, the school. So why would you losers honor him?
The real question is would Fritz be interested in having him on his staff if the opportunity came about. My guess is no, because CWF seems to be interested in character and culture.
FIFY
I agree. He pursued his own interest and used his players and fans to burnish his reputation, while leading the Coogs to a successful season. Nothing immoral about that.
The coach from Ohio State used his position to pick up women. The coach from Penn State let his assistant abuse little boys in the school shower. Lane kitten was routinely accused of jumping multiple ships while disadvantaging his existing teams. The list goes on and on.
Some of you are letting memories of the past get in the way of enjoying this season. Good luck with that
I actually hope there are no Boos! He was these player’s coach. It’s a complete celebration of this Peach Bowl achievement, so honor the players AND the coach with a respectful appreciation. Time to move on with our Great Coach Fritz.
It’s a celebration of the TEAM, not just Herman.
ANY boos for that will be really LOW CLASS.
I should hope that anyone with Herman issues will simply maintain a respectful silence if they can’t celebrate.

Nice try Scotti. You purposely ignore the most important part of Judas the Winker’s UH tenure. As soon as he got here he was already “selling” his services to other programs. This was months into getting the job, not years. He never intended to stay more than a year for that matter. This is well documented. At least scumlin waited until our final game to stick it to us. Yes it cost us $M’s. Before I knew this information I thought Judas the Winker made his decision due to our non inclusion into the BIG12. Boy was I wrong.
It is too easy to think we can let this go. We have been f…d many times and especially by uta. Judas the Winker went to uta. He would have gone to LSU or another program. It would have been quite different. Excuse me for being so crass but enough is enough with this b.s. Enough of treating UH like we do not exist. Mr. Nunez, you want to honor the 2015 team? Honor the team and their coach but do not mention him. This is what happens when you act this way Judas the Winker. The best way to not boo him is to not mention him.
I said it in another thread, he has every right and deserves to be there. However, I wish he would bow out and let the focus be on the team. I dislike him for all the same reasons everyone else here does. Maybe his team wanted him there, hope we keep it classy.
Yep. 2015 Herman was able to keep his eye on the ball enough to win. 2016 was a giant, wasted opportunity because he couldn’t handle being a coach, and a hot ticket item.
Most normal individuals would politely decline this offer.
I mean, the focus is on the team. As someone who’s barely skimmed the content about the reunion, I wouldn’t have even considered that Herman might be there until this thread came up.
A reuinion of the team has always had the Coaches if they were available. The coaches are generally considered part of the team so I didn’t need to read any details to think he would be invited.
Nobody is defending Herman as I hate him too but we can at least be respectful.
I doubt the fans will do anything on Saturday.
I didn’t see any of us boo or disrespect Kendal Briles when we hired him back in 2018.
I doubt any of us went to Tony Levine’s Chick Fil A to boo or disrespect him either.
All he had to was give UH 100% during the season and only focus on the job we were paying him to do. He created a huge distraction in the middle of our season and it affected our ability to win. My expectation is to coach till the end of the season. He could have gotten his UT job after the season was over. It’s really that simple.
One more time and it makes perfect sense. We honor the team and not mention Judas the Winker. That way everyone is happy.
Case closed.
I won’t boo him, that could be misconstrued as booing the players and detract from their moment. If he is announced, I’ll stand silently and turn my back.
Imagine the stadium collectively doing the same.
