The minute I saw this thread…my first thought was…there he goes again. Trying to convince anyone who will listen he knows $hi+. Not one mention of Braden East. Well this comes directly from one of our projected staters…East is going to be really good. Solid low post game. Also…Arafan has really good feet for guy his size.
I would much rather get my info from a player than reading pesik’s War and Peace length posts but hey carry on if it makes you feel important

I think it was dying.
WSU and UCONN had fallen off big time from when they first entered the conference loaded. UCONN had one decent team towards the end of their departure.
There was Houston, then Memphis and a declining SMU since Brown jumped ship. There would be a couple okay programs pick your two any given season.
How Wes Miller survived 5 years is beyond me….i watched a lot of Cincy basketball, he was regularly getting his a$$ out coached….
I never saw a D-1 head coach that was soooo slow to make adjustments.
I don’t know if he ignored his assistants advice or if they were as bad as he was.

Wichita St. always impressed me with their loyal fan base. I remember UH playing Wichita St. at TSU, when Fertitta Center was being remodeled, and their fans turned out. Same at Fertitta Center.

Mick is a cincinnati guy through and through. Mike bohn our former now disgraced AD tried to give mick what was essentially a pay decrease. Mick used his guy at the sporting news to push for a legitimate contract extension (Mike Decoursey) but bohn wouldn’t budge. He took winning Winning for granted and wanted to oust Mick without actually firing him.
Mick damn near got fifth third arena renovated all by himself after bohn tried to push it back.
All in all mick wanted to stay but he was didn’t want to work for Mike Bohn any more.
And Calhoun said Mick called him and sold him on taking the UC job. Mick was as part of this hire as anyone. He still loves the city, & loves UC. And with a proper contract he is still at UC today.

That is to say… an actual conference decided… that let’s say hypothetically…
an 8 seed makes a dream run in the American “Championship”…so they and everyone else is just supposed to completely ignore said team going a combined, let’s say 2-8, vs the teams that finished ahead of them in their own conf schedule format?
Just completely disregard the team(s) that ran thru their own product… that they themselves assembled, formatted, packaged, sold and plan to sell in the future to the networks?

I suspect the 5 for 5 rule passing is really the only development here; otherwise, he’d still probably sit out to save a year.
ACL recoveries can’t really be fast-tracked.
