Tour de France 2026

My bad, you’re correct

He kinds crapped out early on Tourmelet

Tour de France just seems like a 3 week exercise in pain management. It takes a special cat to excel at that level.

Is this for real? They left this part out of the version of Ghandi that I saw.

Just to stir the pot a little bit - What about all the people that Livestrong helped that may not have helped if he hadn’t been cheating?

That money would’ve almost certainly made it’s way to cancer, or other, charities not associated with Armstrong if it never existed…

But, by lying, he was able to personally gain tens of millions of dollars (even into the hundred million dollar range) using the positive image that Livestrong associated to his name… makes me dislike him even more…

Livestrong, the charity, did good work and Armstrong’s fame at that time certainly helped… but he was doing that to enhance his personal brand as much, or more, than to help people in my opinion.

Agree he was a phoney. He still was the best rider of the era.

No quite. Yes quite a few were cheating…and even today I do not believe pogacar is clean. The UCI (cycling governing body) IMO is a farce. pogacar blew his best Tourmalet time. It has never happen before in cycling that a cyclist is better than he was just two or three years ago at his age. You go back decades and no one has had an upscale progression at this age. The same can be said for any sport. A few months there was a major controversy when pogacar, vingergaard were using carbon monoxide inhalation. Finally the UCI stepped in.

His stats point out that it is not “normal”. The problem with cycling is that we probably won’t know for a few years.
The Tour de France has been plagued for decades with doping scandals. It is a brutal sport. Will it be clean one day? I hope so but today’s results points out that nothing has changed.
Greg Lemond was clean. Without his hunting accident he would have won more I believe.

I’ve always believed when non-Colombians are dominating the Colombians in the mountains, then a new drug is being used
