It was more about his role than minutes, I believe. And he wasn’t a huge fan of the offseason and practice grind.

I don’t think this is what happened, but I’m not going to pretend like what’s typed below is guaranteed.
The summary I was told via a friend of his family: the intense practices were wearing thin. He was often called out in an animated way by the top man during practices.
Then, the coach in waiting also started making an example out of Tramon during practice. That soured him on staying. It seemed like his departure caught the staff by surprise, but he was ready to go before his heroics against Auburn in the tournament. The decision had already been made by TMark and family.

He was one of my favorite players when he was here, so Ive kept rooting for him since he left. My wife went to Texas, so Im glad he ended up there.
One of his close family members sat pretty close to me during games, and it was obvious by the end that the end was coming. I’ve been around enough unhappy sports dads to know the vibe.

I enjoyed Sheads dagger last season, last game in Memphis as much, if not more. The oxygen was sucked out of the gym.
