There have been two events (basketball watch events) in the Charlotte area. I was traveling much of the tournament and couldn’t schedule in the Triangle. We will look for something to host in Triangle.
Bingo
The end of March Madness, as we know it.
Will we recognize Toppin tho? We really didn’t get to look at him for very long.
Protect your balls, lets fighting love
The full game in Lubbock should have been sufficient, imo.
Could be in terms of crazy upsets. But i can’t fault players who’ve been overlooked their whole career, to now get a chance to play for an elite program
Taze Moore going from Bakersfield to here. Helped him with his professional career
Get in where you fit in…
And we fit in the late rounds of the tourney.
I pray to God that when Kelvin decides to retire he doesn’t do it the way Coach K did. That was cringy and narcissistic.
I know the world may share your feelings, but the “retirement tour” year actually provided a tremendous amount of continuity for our program. It let our extremely young/green coach skip no beats with recruiting. I think time will tell, but many folks directly credit K’s choice with allowing Scheyer to get started.
Compare this to our rivals at UNC, who have really struggled both with recruiting and since Roy’s surprise retirement. Or Syracuse, with Jim Boeheim. Or UVA, where Tony Bennett’s surprise retirement led to a dumpster fire of a college basketball season. Or Miami this year with Jim Larranaga. Or Villanova when Jay Wright left. The reality is, when everyone does it “the normal way,” it doesn’t seem to go as well, does it?
This
Fair enough.
Oh… don’t worry… Kellen will know well in advance when he’s being given the reigns…
I’m skeptical. I think a large part of the chalkiness this year was the fact that you had the last class of Super Seniors coming through the system, which meant there was an entire class with an extra year of experience and game tape and an extra year to transfer. March Madness is fueled by players who didn’t adequately “find their level” in the D1 hierarchy, and next year’s class will have had less of an opportunity to do that.
I’d bet money it’s us (Iowa State). You Coogs are new to this, but Fran has been an ISU homer for years.
We need a back up point guard, rangy combo guard, and another big man. It also wouldn’t surprise me if the “TJ Maxx” comment was a ‘covert’ reference to the head coach.
Bummer. That’s all of Auburn’s starting five gone, plus potentially Pettiford.
