Disagree that we were 10 points better than Florida. The Final Four teams were the best teams in the country. All were very close, but if I had to say I would have put them 1) Duke; 2) TIE: Florida and UH; 4) Auburn

Great to see. Hope it turns out that way and that the Big 12 reasserts itself as the top conference with eight teams in Tournament.

Agree to disagree. We had so many missed open shots. Yes Florida showed to be a good team but our shooting percentage said it all. That is why this loss is so frustrating.

Yes, but some of that low field goal percentage was due to Florida’s defense. Playing in the SEC, they finished #16 in field goal percentage defense. And their field goal percentage in the championship was only a few points better than ours. They beat Alabama by 24, Ole Miss by 19, A&M by 19, etc. They were a damned good team. We were as well. Game could have gone either way as was befitting two closely matched teams.

I am not writing about their defense. We had open shots, wide open and we did not make game.
CKS was so blunt about it on his presser that I was pretty surprised. Check it out it is clear why we lost. Anyways it is history. On to the next one.

Agree! What we did was special. We absolutely weren’t the most talented team. There were 5 other teams absolutely loaded and we beat two of them and nearly a third. Being able to build a double digit lead against that monster was unreal. We absolutely could have won but still so much respect for our players to make it a one possession game at the end.

Florida missed a ton of shots early on also.
We beat the best team in the country and then lost to a team that was a mirror of ourselves

I love what CKS said in his presser. We had to make the shots. We did not. We had a terrible night shooting but even shooting that poorly we only lost by two.
Anyways, I can’t wait for the upcoming season.
