Is TA suggesting that the Houston coaching staff didnt believe in him ?
His minutes played & shot attempts in the 2nd half of the season- maybe gave TA that impression
Last (2) recruiting cycles. McCarty & Harwell. Two players competing for TAâs minutes at the 3.
But, there were rumors even after 2023-24 season, that he could transfer.
Yah I didnât pick up on any of that at all from that interview. Wishing TA the best at NCST.
TA really never found his role here, and that happens sometimes. Maybe Wade has a really clearly defined role for him at NC State. That will help him a lot to focus on a singular role rather than being a Swiss Army knife type of player.
Me either. Sometimes people need to move on and get a fresh start like he said.
Wishing TArc the best!!!
Had he performed better with the minutes he was given then coach would have played him moreâŠâŠhe was given more opportunities than most.
With all due respect to TA, my evaluation of him was based on how he played in games. If he felt the coaching staff lost faith in him, it was due to his performance. Some players are mentally strong and will themselves to play better when recovering from injury. If you are mentally the type who dwells on the negative after getting pulled after screwing up, I can see why the coaching staff felt the way it did.
I hope TA has recovered and has a breakout year at NC State.
Was hoping he would eventually put it all together here. That didnât work out. He seemed to be very lackadaisical with the ball. When he passed, it was a turnover waiting to happen.
Sometimes it as simple as fit. TA is a really talented player, in the end, we just might not have been the best fit for him. The injury certainly didnât help, I think a fresh start was probably best.
He completely shut it down rebounding wise and was always a hit or miss with his shooting. He had skills no one else had on our team so his lack of playing time was on him.
He really did. I just wish he would have bulked up a little more and provided maliks level of effort and tenacity on the boards.
