Agreed….need a one year filler before Baby Skip gets here.

Agree…no on Haggarty and Dedan’s time has passed.

I know you should leave the door open, but recruiting Thomas a third time? After he left UH at the alter the first time and took the NIL money the second time? I hope UH is not considering him. I haven’t see much of Haggerty, but I am not sure he has the Sampson dog in him.

I could easily see Griggs or Lowe in Houston next year, but I’m sure Sampson and Co. have their eyes on some great ones.

i have a hard time seeing star pgs from from tournament teams transfering unless its for an insane bag… we wont be the biggest bag in the offseason

@pesik Oregon & Mississippi St arent looking like Tournament teams though

But, your point on these being $$ expensive adds in the portal. I agree

I would 100% take Josh Hubbard. That dude is a scoring machine and has tons of experience running the point. He would be a very nice 1 year gap filler until Baby Skip gets here.

Jaland Lowe - out for the season

Hopefully he can rehab well.

I keep hearing them say Harwell COULD play PG if Kingston/Milos weren’t on the squad during broadcasts…

How true is that?

not true… passing is there but not ball handling

also in the all backup lineup …mercy is the pg despite being lower is the depth chart and not a pg… if pg was a possibility for harwell, harwell would be the bench clearing pg… just on hierarchy… don’t look for harwell and the pg solution

I didn’t think so but I swear it was Reid Gettys saying it but I could be wrong about that… pretty sure it was on the game with Galen broadcasting…

reid probably did say it… but reid is the defintion of super hyper lol love him, but its a thing he does…
you could name any player i could quote you something he has said that is wild overhyping

ie. tramon mark is the next james harden, said jojo had a 7’9 wingspan,

Would Mercy be the bench PG over a healthy Kordel?

Not sure about that, I thought KJ looked good in the few mins he played this year. Especially as a tip of the spear defender

Harwell was running the point in the last few min last night so obviously some truth to it. Mercy was in there with him playing off the ball.

I’m high on mercy being THE GUY next year. Offensively, he may be our best player this year. He Flemings and Sharp can fill it up.

He clearly still needs work defensively but he is a walking bucket.

If I were to bet, Mercy will be the first guy off the bench next season.

mercy ran point, harwell was the one inbounding to mercy
mercy was also the point of attack defender

it was only a 2min stretch (not long), but there were 3 stop play inbounds… all were harwell inbounding to mercy… harwell brought it down twice because mercy was pressured in 1 and mercy immediately passed back to harwell…and another that wasn’t stop in play that they just inbounded to anyone

My goodness I try to be nice. I went back and looked and first two possessions there was a clear choice for Harwell bringing the ball up with Marcy on the wing. PG is an offensive distinction so defensive matchups are irrelevant for this discussion. Last postseason they looked to go straight into a Mercy iso, which may have had more to do with wanting to get Lath a lob at the bucket. Harwell was still filling center court.

harwell inbounded!! what do you mean “there was a clear choice for Harwell bringing the ball up”

this is the very 1st play of him checking in

mercy was pressured and mercy passed back to harwell … jamal wasnt impounding to sharp, in a stop play situation
