Transfer Portal 2025

imo they are 1 center away from looking really good next year

That don’t make sense 600k salary …to only 700/ week. Who was doing his taxes. Something fishy sir.

That was his rookie contract he lost when he got cut, sir.

Ohh ok. I took as 600k but then taxes came out n took down to 700/week.
Make America … ahhhh nvmnd.

As of now he’s a late 1st/early 2nd round pick but there are also other schools that are willing to throw a bag to get him.(Kansas and Kentucky)

I know I am not in the majority, but I don’t think any of these kids are making the NIL money that some are reporting. Any good agent can float rumors out there to help out future deals, but when it comes down to actual money being exchanged, I think it is MUCH lower than the millions being tossed around. I am sure there are a handful of big deals, but overall I think a lot of these million dollar deals are hundred thousand dollar deals, not that there is anything wrong with that.

I also believe a lot of folks sign deals that never get paid, because the money was never there or it went away. See UNLV or Florida state football players leaving for not getting their NIL.

Sites like on3 use an equation of social media likes, followers, and content to show what the nil value is and if you pay just a few bucks you can see the breakdown.

There would be no need to be in the portal if everyone that is eligible to return does. But the odds of that happening are low.

No freshmen is redshirting. Except for Jackson.

We could. We will have to pay Tugler upwards of $2m if he stays. He is going to command A LOT. Same with Sharp.

2mil?? you are only getting that kind of money in a bidding war…similalrly with sharp…

they can command that type of money if they are NIL driven, just go to the highest paid and dont care about anything else… but i dont think that would be a major motivator for either… similar with jwan last year… i know some people in the program, no ones current NIL is near that amount, in context of what the school is paying (not counting real marketting deals, like shead electrolit commericals etc.)

just like 2 years ago, our old AD said we want to flip the camera around in the arena, but its too expensive at 1mil… now we are putting together 10mil rosters per year? not counting Coach salaries

Im not saying you are wrong, but ill believe it when i see it… (we start landing super touted NIL players, that we have no ties too… espcially a big)

Money is a lot different this year. Dent just got 3.5m.

We paid our 3 freshmen $4m. Cenac got his $2m.

In related news, my 44 year old, slightly overweight, not in my prime self has heard from Houston, among many, many other top tier programs.

@pesik I’m not saying it is right. But Dent getting $3.5m has set the market. Kids are asking for ridiculous amounts right now.
