FTs saving Purdue. Theyā€™re shooting around 20% from the floor.

Until just a couple minutes before halftime, all Purdue scoring was from two players: Edey and Loyer. A bench player hit a couple FTs with two minutes left in the first half to add a third scorer for Purdue.

Thatā€™s nuts. Purdue doesnā€™t look impressive at all. Tennessee has done some impressive things but still canā€™t separate from Purdue.

This is the first time Iā€™ve watched Edey for an extended period. Other than his size heā€™s not very impressive. Slow and not very skilled. As Jimmy Reed sang, ā€œYou just tall, thatā€™s allā€

Yah but itā€™d be open 3ā€™s for days with our guards and I donā€™t think playing slow would be the worst thing for us given how stingy we are defensively

Heā€™s a great college player but weā€™d have to play a different style of basketball than what makes samspson teams great. Eddy doesnā€™t seem like,the kinda guy whoā€™d fit in here

Edey canā€™t move his feet, heā€™d never play defense for Sampson.

Best comparison Iā€™ve got is Cam Tysonā€™s defense. He always seemed like he was wearing concrete boots covered in mud.

Agree. Iā€™m in the camp of if CKS made it work with Carlton without 2 of out best 3 players, why couldnā€™t he make it work with Edey?

Carlton is way more athletic and quick. Zac is skilled, but way slow.
