Ucf

Nice thing is we’ll get some rest. Week off before our next game at Tulane, then at Tulsa, and then another week off. Team will need it since, starting with that Tulsa game, the finishing kick is tough.

CKS Postgame

  • Been around long enough that when you make shots, everything looks good
  • Dot’s points came off assists, good ball movement
  • MVP was Galen due to his competitiveness, toughness, and spite. Has to play like this for us to be successful
  • Can’t play without a PG and we did there for awhile (earlier in the year)
  • Devin isn’t anywhere close to be in game shape yet, played too many minutes tonight.
  • Can’t get a break with Chicken out now after Davis comes back.
  • UCF, even with Tacko out, is still a tall team. Can’t play Nkali and Meyer together
  • Talked to team at half in a slow, monotone Voice, what team needed. Just implored the team to move the ball. Worked.

Dotson Postgame:

  • 31 points tonight, career high
  • Shoot in Hofheinz a lot, once you get a rhythm in there, the arena is pretty good
  • Mentions unselfishness of his teammates and how he tells them where he’s going on the break and they hit him
  • Says he shoots with Hollis Price over and over at practice and that his success is due to that repetition
  • Elvin tells him he’s a complete basketball player right now to which Dot thanks him and tells him that’s what CKS tells him is that they all have to be complete ball players
  • Mentions it’s all about practice

Includes every Dotson 3. Gray had a monster dunk towards the end

I find that hard to believe but I guess he saved some of his not-so-monotone voice for the 2nd half! Dotson was great and hope he continues to close out his UH career in a positive, winning fashion.

:grinning:He said he didn’t know what else to do at that point which is why he did it.

CKS lit a fire under Dotson a few weeks ago and told him to be more aggressive. Ever since then, he’s become unstoppable. Hope it continues.
