So far for 2026, UH has signed 4 high school players, 3 from the Southeast Texas area (1 from Spring, 2 from the Port Arthur area) and one from Austin. I want to see UH make in roads in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, East Texas, and Central Texas. Coach Fritz has opened up opportunities in Louisiana, but UH’s staffs’ primary focus should be Texas.
The Transfer Portal changes the emphasis on high school recruiting, but I believe high school recruiting still needs to be the core of your team.
