Lurked on the UAB board…… never post just like to read opinions…… Coogs got nothing but respect from just about 100% of their fans, very classy even in defeat.

Take a gander at the Illinois boards…… mostly douche nozzles calling CKS “Samscum” and talking about how they will be better and we will be worse.

Had one fake wanna be coach going “in depth” on UH and what we run on offense and defense and every other damn thing about how they will handle us….I rarely laugh out loud but my wife asked what was so funny….

Ready to put it on their a$$…… they deserve it.

All Illinois fans predict that they will be watching UH play Arizona in the sweet 16 so they have to get the silly trash talk out now while they still can.

Can someone confirm that when we beat Illinois will that be our first win against a lower seed under CKS era?

Do you mean as a lower seed?

" the numbers support the Cougars’ excellence.
Since 2017, only Gonzaga (151-15) has a better record than Houston (142-29). Kansas and Villanova are third and fourth, respectively."

Glad that Illinois won today. For one, they suck and two now if we go far in the tournament no one can say we didn’t play another top seed.

We have always lost to a lower seed - Michigan, Kentucky, Baylor. We have beaten all higher seeds. The only one I am not sure is when we beat SDSU. I do not remember if SDSU was a lower seed or a higher seed. I think they were a higher seed but not sure.

SDSU was an 11 seed while we were a 6 seed. We advanced to play Michigan who was a 3 seed. Both games came down to last second three pointers. So you could say the difference between an 11 and 3 seed is that the 3 seeds game winner goes down.

Thanks then the Illinois win will be the first win against a lower seed in NCAA under CKS for us. Looking forward.

So under Sampson, we’ve won all our games as the better seeded team and lost as the worse seeded team. I think currently that’s correct.
