Just like the football games the casual fan doesn’t even know when we play no promotion or marketing to people that are not on cougar social media

This is my constructive criticism:

  • This event seems like it was decided at a last minute and put together. UH should have decided before the summer and promoted it to death in June, July and August.
  • i only saw notice of this event on social media. Like Bandera stated, there are people not on social media, or not on UH social media. Some radio interviews and radio spots and some TV commercials would have reached a broader audience.
  • CDH is fine in interviews when he does them, but he is a football coach first and I suspect marketing the program to the general public is far down the list.

Not CDH’s job to schedule and promote. Responsibility of the Marketing Department and above them the AD.

I would respectfully disagree. CDH’s availability and personality play a huge role in how the public perceives UH football. The head coach is the face of the program.

To be fair I don’t think they meant for this to be a huge event. The have cage rage very soon and are putting more marketing/ effort into that. This felt like something that was supposed to happen during spring ball and got scrapped. Overall though great event. The players were all very nice and personable. Very appreciative of the support and excited for the season.

Football coach should be the face of the program, the CEO. Herman did that so well.
