No 11am kickoffs in September!

This is good news. I don’t mind the 11am starts after it quits getting hot.

This might result in slightly less injuries and better play late in the season. Memphis meanwhile has an 11 Saturday start vs Ole Miss. Good for us.

No 330 starts in September either. This could be huge. We might take some L’s in tough OOC but we’ll be primed for conference. Props to the B12 (I know but it’s true), Texas Kickoff folks, and CUSA. They’re the ones to thank for most of these evening games.

The SMU Thursday game is at 6:30 ??

Odd time.

Here in Houston “when it quits getting hot” is called November.

Er, you mean December

Just the opposite north of Okla/Ark

The third weekend in Oct last season it was snowing/sleeting at the Dartmouth/Harvard bucket list game in NH.

One year we had to cancel our bucket list game at ND between the irish and NW the 2nd weekend in Nov. a snow blizzard blocked all interstates in four states
an unfortunate event since the Cats upset the irish in South Bend that weekend at the last minute

Its hit or miss in October. But a good cold lawnmower after a brisk walk to the stadium after a big breakfast provides great enjoyment.

This is the best news I have heard in a while!

What happened? Did the university threaten to turn off the AC in the broadcast booths if the networks insisted on our playing the early games at 11 AM? I’ll bet it took something about like that!

What.ever. This will, undoubtedly, save the life of some of our elderly fans - and maybe even some of the young players (it must get hot as “H” down there on the playing surface!).

Water fountains at TDECU are rejoicing!

When did we put in water fountains?

Between this and the traffic I don’t know how most of you do it.

As for the traffic - drive on the back streets during rush hour; that is what I do. Everyone thinks they ABSOLUTELY MUST drive on the freeways; they are parking lots during those hours! The back streets are the way to go during those times. Yes, they have more stop signs and traffic lights, but they are faster.

I don’t mind Thursday night games, it gives me an opportunity to find a “Business trip” to come to Houston!

NOCoog85, you and many others are true road warriors. Every game is a road game!

So I’m not so sure this good fortune has anything to do with compassion on us fans. Only one of the six games is at TDECU on a Saturday vs PVAM, and honestly, no one is going to fight us over a start time.
