UH football will Resume wearing Luv ya Houston blue uniform

All sports correct?

From a legal standpoint, if we change front of jersey to say ‘Cougars’ instead of Houston, then the Titans have no legal case. A jersey in light blue and red that says Cougars has no trademark, especially for an ncaa team

But I say stick it to the Titans and keep it Houston in the front

I want to see the Titans say that they are afraid that people will get confused with them and us. Because based on the last few years, if they think that people will think that its the Titans out there, that is hilarious. I want them to say in a court room that the 3rd and Belk defense made people think it was Tennessee playing.

May the oiler blue curse continue, i tried to warn yal. Cursed unis

Do we need this distraction for poor coaching again?

Hell yeah, let’s go!

I am sure that Pez or Khator has gotten advice from our legal department and as long as he is backed by Khator and BOR he will stick with it. I doubt that the legal department would say proceed without being confident of our stand.

Personally, I would prefer sticking with our traditional uniforms, but I will yield on the black jerseys.

Not true . We didn’t wear the blue uniforms in that game

I recall a discussion on another thread about whether a color could be subject to patent/trademark protection. Assuming that is the case (and I don’t know if it is or not), wouldn’t the patent/trademark be held by Columbia University? If the Oilers used actual “columbia blue”, did they pay Columbia University for a license to use it? How is it that the Oilers/Titans can block (or attempt to block) UH from using a color that they did not create or make noteworthy?

I blame it on lazy, garbage coaching.

Its safe to assume you werent an Oilers fan.

Our original colors, in 1927, were Navy Blue and White.

They came Scarlet and White in 1934.

The powder blue is a color for the city. Change can happen, if it makes sense. I’m all for raising my elevens to the Titans and their whining owners.

Was this at the main campus? Or downtown?
