No surprise here, the policy was created similar to others that have been struck down. Biggest issue is usually the vagaries in the policy as to what constitutes harassment. Policies like this have to be pretty darn specific to hold up to legal scrutiny.
If these guys aren’t targeting specific people for abuse and are just out there being conservatives it’s probably right that it be protected. Let the social hierarchy sort this one out. If they find it hard to date outside their own circle, don’t get invited to things, get shouted down when they’re doing their things. Well them’s the breaks. If they piss off the wrong prof, again them’s the breaks. Freedom of speech does not free you from the consequences of your speech.
