UH licensing and Logo

Can you tell us where you got that shocker hat?

As someone who works in retail, data speaks. If there was more demand for Coog gear, it would be in the Academy stores. They’ll always have a little bit in locations that they consider to be a hot market (based on proximity, mostly), but they won’t send a full fledged assortment if the demand isn’t there. That results in unproductive inventory that will just sit there and become aged overtime. As a public company, inventory is very important metric and is scrutinized heavily by share holders.

When are we able to buy more Jordan brand UH apparel?

I need to add more to my collection.

We ask you again, where did you get these items?

The Academy on I-10 in Katy has a lot of Coog stuff. I bought a really nice pullover just yesterday.

Flew through Hobby a few weeks ago. There was a lousy tshirt and a sweatshirt. Everything else was cow manure and atm. I found it offensive.
When we get our new HC today we ought to have a poster/picture with a welcome to U of H plastered over Hobby and IAH.

Those items, at least the “Nike” sweatshirt was likely sold online and is a knockoff.

You should have bought something anyways. If we all buy a Cougar item every time we go to Hobby, that should push demand.

My problem is that now I’ve got the money to buy Cougar gear, I don’t need it. I’ve got a closet and drawers full of UH t shirts, polos, hats, jackets. I don’t have room for more. I also tend not to get rid of clothes until they’re threadbare, and then I still keep wearing them for a few more years.

I told the attendant to let her Manager know that I would have bought Coogs shirts/sweatshirts if it was nicer. The ones they had had Houston on them. It was so generic that nothing meant “U of H” to someone not affiliated with our school. On the contrary the “other” Texas schools had branded products. The question is why not our school in our city?
Tilman should pay for a Welcome HC Fritz to U of H for everyone to see in our airports.
THAT is a statement.

It’s not about need. Lol. I know I have that problem too but then I see something cool and have to have it.

Go buy like that UH grandfather clock or a UH pool table, I bet you don’t have those yet.

Last time I was in hobby, while the selection was small they had decent items so maybe the stuff I saw sold. I don’t know. The problem is they won’t get new designs if they don’t sell the old.

That is not how retail works.

Chris, I know you like to present yourself as the expert in everything. However, I’m quite experienced with how retail works. Also, this is specialty retail in an airport which is going to be a bit different than your average big box, department store or mall store.

If they have merch that consistently doesn’t move, they will just stop stocking it and not replace it with new and better designs.

Facts:
The university located in Austin and atm had licensed/major sporting brands products.
The “Houston” for U of H products looked like they came off a truck from Beverly Hills Cop or shipped from a Panamanian thrift store.
