Why do we buy season tickets when we can get them cheaper the week of the game, or even worse when they’re $3 on secondary markets?

You buy the season tickets in hopes that it will be a memorable season (in a good way). I don’t really care what people around me pay for their tickets. The more fans around, the better the game atmosphere.
Before Mack Brown came to Austin to coach UT, people could stop in at HEB and buy seats for $5. They advertised on local radio all the time.
