So I’m watching the softball world series, UT vs Texas Tech, and I see a lot of local girls playing.
Yep. It’s a shame. Hopefully the new coaching staff will be able to tap into the local talent and coaches and then convince the players to stay at home. At least one really good pitcher.

Just saw on the telecast what they are paying that Tech pitcher next year. 1 million dollars a year for one college softball pitcher is crazy. Of course she confirmed that she is coming back. How many regular college kids get paid a million dollars a year? I wonder what the payroll is for the whole team because that’s what it is now, a payroll. UH softball has its work cut out for it to get anywhere near that level of NIL for softball.

Looks like the Tech million dollar pitcher has run out of gas in the first inning or UT has seen her enough in 3 games to figure her out. She is getting shelled. Even if Tech loses, they came within 1 game of a national title after having never been in the WS before this year.
Maybe now that the season is over, we will get news on who we are going to hire. Maybe Eddie was eyeing somebody on UT’s staff and that’s why it’s taking so long?
