Interesting…we went to Ecuador about 15 years ago, and we were surprised to learn it’s on Eastern Time (same as NY). Strange that a country on the Pacific Coast was on Eastern Time, but the area we were in was east of Miami FL.
It just became the same when we sprang when we sprang forward….it was EST like you suggested until yesterday.
Makes sense…I was looking at the map, and saw that Bogata is east of Ecuador!
