Maybe he was not demoted to third string because of performance.
It is what it is⊠Damn you would think coach would of had a more talented QB room by now in his 5th year.
I sure hope so. San Antonio has great talents for us to recruit.
You only gave him four years, do you expect miracles? He just needs four or five more years to recruit a QB, then WATCH OUT RICE!!!
Maybe Coley expressed his frustration of not getting an opportunity to showcase his talent and Holgy punished him for it by demoting him. I think Holgy is leaving a lot of talented players on the bench and not utilizing the talents that he has at his disposal all the while playing the less talented players simply out of seniority or some kind of progression with his lineup that he may believe that he has to go through first before the younger players would get their chance. The fact that Jenkins didnât get to play until the 4th week and it only happened because he had no choice but to let the young man play, since his run game sucks real bad, is proof of that.
How many practices have you personally attended.
Methinks you like throwing spaghetti against the wall to see what sticks
You are so full it, you have no clue just post BS
And you know everything? How? This is a message board for opinions, no? Can you prove your opinion is any more accurate than mine? When I was in high school the head coach said that he had to start another player over the better player because he made a promise to the older player that he would get the start next year and so the sorrier, older player got the start over the much better younger player. It was obvious to everybody who was the better player between the two players, but still the senior got the start over the junior. Crap like this does happen! Better players donât always get to start! If a coach thinks youâre annoying him in some way, such as complaining about not getting any playing time, he could very well make sure you wonât get any playing time. Coaches are humans like anybody else.
I love it when my employees complain a lot. Makes me want to give them more opportunities. /jk
Like coachV said, your post are throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing if anything sticks. Like the guy who is already trying to figure who will transfer, feel free to do it but donât think you are actually engaging in serious conversation.
You mean just because he starts out with âMaybeâ then states as fact Jenkins didnt play in two other games this year? That was his proof that Jenkins didnt play until game 4. Then alluding that CDH is purposely starting worse players because he wants to be nice to some of the players? Maybe so. Just maybe so there is immense BS in that post.
Funny. I used the âspaghetti on the wallâ analogy on the thread about game day atmosphere without seeing these references. I like stealing from the insiders.
â
Heâs 1 pass attempt away from matching Coleyâs attempts all last year. But then again, Manjack is 2 attempts from matching that
I could not find his completion %, but he has a TD:INT ration of 15:1 his final HS season, and he had 500 yards rushing. Seems he makes pretty good decisions if he is not getting picked.
My feeling is that he fits Briles or RPO offenses so Holgy doesnât thinks he can playâŠat least in his system, which almost no first or second year, or third year player can unless you play the sisters of the poor schedule.
Coley will go some place and do wellâŠsorry he had to waste a year here. If he transfers he will have to sit a year. Sucks for him.
Thank you for posting. It is interesting how Saban did not make a commitment on his QBâs after they struggledâŠ
Well you NEVER know wth youâre talking about so maybe you should not step out from behind the pack to throw a rock chief.
Youâre right. CDH showed with Chambers and Lark that he does not always play the best players.
He transferred two years ago so he wouldnât have to sit. But who knows. He appears to be having fun on the sidelines
Itâs speculation. Yours and mine.
But consider this.
Coley never saw the field at his first school.
He didnât even crack the 2d string last season.
And heâs 3rd string this season.
Is it not possible that the reason he isnât staying in the two deep anywhere simply because he ainât good enough to make it?
Iâd like everyone to consider that.
The guyâs HS stats were against private school opponents. I never saw him as a top QB prospect, given that.
At least Ale put up good numbers against JUCO level competition. Itâs hardly any wonder, given that, that Ale is now ahead. Unlike Coley, heâs proven himself against better competition in the past.
As for Ale vs SmithâŠ.Ale did have that nice TD pass (most of the yardage on that was after the catch).
But Smith completed more than 75% of his passes for nearly 300 yards and a TD with no INTsâŠ.against a D that had shut down 4-0 Air Force and a BYU team with a victory over Arkansas.
Saying Smith shouldnât still be the starter after that type of performance, or even saying that Smith didnât play well against SHSU seems pretty silly, if anyone is saying that.
Smith ran the clock out on 3rd down at the end of the half. He should have sat the rest of the game for that.
