Fits the old school description. Oilers had white helmets though.
I would not be surprised to see powder blue make the rounds as a base color in college football uniforms the way it did in baseball in the 80s and is presently doing again.
In the last 10 years we’ve seen nearly every school adopt black or dark grey as a base color. I could see powder blue being next.

Oilers originally had blue helmets, back in the AFL days. Really a stretch, though…

Texans have been trying to pull this off in response to fan demand for a few years. Theyre supposed to make some kind of attempt with the new uniforms next year and we are beating them to the punch.
