UnitedHealthcare CEO assassinated

Surprised nobody has posted about this yet, or is it a banned topic?

Assassin is still on the loose

The dude shot him and got away on an E-Bike. Crazy.

Allegedly

Looks like by a professional used a silencer

I remember there was a similar story like this in the DC area a few years ago.

Lesser known CEO of a smaller company.

Former employee kidnapped him and tortured his family end their home eventually killing them all.

He was the CEO of the insurance branch of UNH. Not the actual CEO of the company.

As for the killing - seems like it could have been a murder for hire

Suspect no. 1 should be the wife.

I think when it all comes out it’s gonna be some guy whose family member died of cancer, etc.

……and the insurance company screwed them like usual……

Not condoning the shooting, just have an idea where stuff like this boils up from.

No way……that kind of stuff is way cleaner 007……hitman ain’t pedaling away. :joy:

Can’t believe with all the CCTV in NYC they have not caught him.

The silencer isn’t really telling of much outside of thought and planning. It’s not super specialized equipment, they’re pretty available (says more about or society than anything)

I was going to make a comment about about UHC and NYPD health plans, but they use CIGNA so it doesn’t really work

@Pollardsvision that’s why don’t think this was some guy who got screwed by the insurance company, you’d almost want to get caught so you can screen it to the world. Martyrdom would be the goal in that case

I expect this to be an episode of Law & Order next year.

I read it was a meeting to discuss a merger with another company.

Wife said he has been getting threats. It just seems like too much of a coincidence for it to be cancer pt or coverage.

The guy knew where he was going to be, where the cameras were, what time he was going to arrive and if you see the video he’s calm through the entire thing. If this isnt on purpose or to stop a merger or something to do with removing him out of the picture then idk what to tell you.

Explains some

Best, “Dude, read the room” moment in awhile. Also won’t be surprised when the CEO announced that it was all the executive VP’s idea

Just heard on news that shell casings had defend, deny, depose written on them, which could be reference to book titled delay deny defend about how insurance industry handles claims.

Definitely wanted to send a message it seems now. Changes my perspective on motive.

Certainly narrows the motive down if accurate

United Health makes approximately 6 Billion per QUARTER……the guy that was killed made 10.2 million in salary last year.

Yeah, there may be a few pissed of customers when they are constantly denied medication/treatment prescribed by their Doctor.
