I think what last night has shown is that with a new season, Covid, and, the transfer portal, there’s going to be a lot of uncertainty early on in the season. Teams are playing in front of full houses and with new teammates. Practices and exhibition scrimmages are one thing, but now we have the heat of battle.
Last night we got a school’s best effort, they won’t be the last, were down our starting point guard, trailed for most of the game, and, still won. I’m not taking any game for granted until this team has played a few games. I’m sure UVA was feeling the same before their game with Navy that we are feeling about our upcoming game with Rice.
Wonder how many times the announcers mentioned “reclassified” during the game?
