100% agree with you and especially in this thread. My bad.
On cloud seeding which is done , the chronicle had an article today saying it canât produce a single cloud . It takes an existing cloud and can enhance rainfall by up to 20% max but most have lower ranges. They avoid areas were there is a chance of flash flooding. So they are doing cloud seeding in drought areas. Honestly this event wasnât caused by cloud seeding but by the renants of that hurricane then it stalled like Harvey and almelda did to Houston.
So cloud seeding is being done but again in this case, it was caused by natural factors
InterestingâŠ
I think they just validate that there is an evacuation plan - they donât really get into risk management like some of these other organizations. The camp may have executed its plan flawlessly, but they started too late.
Weâre reading about a lot of failures, but like the Mo Ranch story I posted above, this is another example of people paying attention and taking action early. This young lady saved a bunch of people.
Iâm just giving info to debunk that this was the fault of defunding the NWS, as people posted earlier.
This tragedy proves we need less weather forecasting?
And there you go, proving my point.
KC Chiefs owner had a niece die in the flooding.
Virginia governor wife is from Texas and they have land on river. They had relatives staying there but are safe. Youngkin flew in Friday the 4th anf accompanied national guard as they rescued his relatives.
Prayers to those affected by the Hill Country floods.
I believe we have some UH alumni in Ruidoso, NM. Prayers to them.
Pat Green the country singer had a brother and his family killed in Kerville.
Iâve read a bunch of amazing and terrible stories over the last several days - this one has some of both.

My Dad lives in Ruidoso but luckily they werenât affected by the flooding.
The more we learn about the failure to take some action on warning systems, the angrier this should make people.
And the Mystic guy knew better. He just didnât act fast enough. Upstream warning systems would clearly have made a difference there.
I think you mean couldnât act fast enough.
Nope. He could have done what the Mo Ranch folks did a couple of hours earlier when the first warnings came out. He either didnât see those or he assumed it wouldnât be bad enough to pose a risk. He waited too long for whatever reason.
Weâll never know if he received the warnings from the NWS. But we do know that the NMS sent out the alerts in time. It was up to the county to make sure everyone heard it.
Too soon⊠and I have a very dark sense of humor.
Those little girls didnât deserve thatâŠ
