Only takes 1 team to really like him and give him a guarantee but it does sound close to 50-50 right now if not a little higher for coming back.
It’s such a gamble if he is banking on a guaranteed contract in the second round. Even if someone is telling him they will give him one.
Same thing happened to our friend, Kenneth Lofton. It never came in the second round for him.
If they want you, they’ll make it their business to select you. That’s how it works. And that’s what Mike Uzan is referencing.
Nate
I’ve been saying it paisa!
I hope Uzan comes back. If UH’s NIL can come close to paying a guaranteed NBA contract, Uzan will almost certainly come out ahead in the long run, barring any injury. He will have one more year of play under Sampson on film and he will have at least as much talent this year as last year. He can also mentor Kingston Flemings, who I think, when it is all said and done, one of UH’s best PG of the past 30 years.
Flemings just moves different. Can’t wait for him to get into campus and starts practicing.
I understand what you’re saying but things can change. What if a team who said they wanted him (and would offer him guaranteed money) is approached by another team wanting to acquire their pick and they decide to flip the pick? I know it takes just one team that offers him guaranteed money to pull the trigger and selects him but it’s still a crap shoot. His odds obviously improve if multiple teams are promising him guaranteed money if they select him.
Darrion Williams, only 6’4" ish. With a 6’6" wingspan. Not our type of player. 236 lbs ![]()
Dylan Harper same height as Darrion Williams. That is surprising
Just saw that. Would think if that’s a good indication, he will stay in draft.
First round money is guarenteed 2nd round its up to the team. You also have to look at each team and how many guarenteed deals they have on the roster already its really a crapshoot if you are 2nd round pick.
Correct. If a team decides to give him that type of contract, then he has it. If they don’t he won’t.
According to Chris Baldwin he’s coming back if he doesn’t get guaranteed money, and not many picks after 40 do.
I hope so. The buzz in the city would be BIG. Loaded AF roster if Milos comes back.
I know the deadline is May 28, but when’s the earliest we’d know?
One minute from now. He could pull out at anytime!
And that’s how my twins showed up.

I’d add, what if a team promises guaranteed money at pick 40 (just picking a number).
Then a team takes him at 35-39. But the picking team doesn’t want to offer guaranteed money.
He’s now stuck. No guaranteed money and no eligibility left.
That’s a risk he takes.
Excuse me… it takes longer than a minute…
