No, that’s not the reason. Unless you have a source for that, I’m calling that an opinion, not a fact.

And the elephant in the room is that the Post, much like Tesla, spent the last year turning on it’s most loyal customers. Actions have consequences, which Bezos is either learning, or doesn’t care about.

Never mind. Meant to respond to another individual. Apologies.

Did you mean turning “off” its loyal customers?

Turning on meaning turning their back on.

“Unnamed sources” get such a bad rap which is b.s.
implying that using unnamed sources isn’t “true journalism” is also bull. Though this really isn’t the space to debate what “true journalism” is or the use of unnamed sources.

Kinda hilarious position to take when considering we’re discussing the paper that broke the Watergate scandal with unnamed sources.

Yep I was thinking that especially.

I got a copy last week - 20 years ago on a Wednesday we had front page news, metro, sports, business, lifestyle and the community news section this week all had separate sections for no more than .50 to &.75 cents

The copy I had last week was condensed to 2 sections and cost $4 daily - unacceptable

Then the sports section was noting but 2 full pages of UT and A&M news - their not even trying anymore

i still get the sunday paper for the tradition of sunday comics section; i can read much more comics online for free. get my daily news from twitter; mostly in subjects occuring in physics, engineering and avaiation; something i would have never been able to get in a local paper.

sure would like to get the daily paper in retirement but as that maybe over 20 years from now; i don’t think that will be possible.

You know, since I stopped taking the paper, I stopped reading comics. That’s a shame

Unnamed sources did them in. They lost all credibility. The “other” scandal dwarfs Watergate.

Source? That’s your opinion. Not true at all.
