Agreed! She may be the best of our transfers, with the greatest upside given her youth. One of the best freshmen in the country last season

I like the first wave of activity from the new staff. If they can get more hometown players to return, they might have something.

I think by coach 3rd year they’ll be really good.
New coach has his work cut out for him especially when it comes to recruiting. Hopefully the portal is very good to us

Guess Jorynn didn’t want to go to SMU with her old coach OR we beat ‘em out. Heard that Zona has minimal NIL so coach was motivated to leave.
Man, all this is really getting me hyped for Women’s basketball…
I hope our non-affiliated UH media outlets (Houston Roundball Review, Go Coogs, Scott & Holman Pawdcast, etc) give them some decent coverage in Coach Mitchell’s Year 1 Rebuild.

Same my daugher is playing AAU and the interest/popularity in women’s ball in Houston is high. I think Nunez made a great hire and they have a chance to really get a following if they start being competitive and winning.

There was one (an Houston native) that originally went to UT, but injuries cut her time there short.
Don’t remember her name atm, but she is still considered to have the potential to live up to the expectations ppl had for her when she committed to UT.
Basically hoping a second chance yields better results cause they oversigned initially or their ready to make an elite jump after a productive freshman season at a lower level - it’s all a gamble still
Most were highly regarded prep players that didn’t quite meet expectations at the big schools. But the one I’m highest on is Shun’teria Anumele. Only played 1 year at SLU, local girl, balled out as a freshman!
