I dont think it was his lack of energy coach Hughey wasnt successful here. He just wasnt a good head coach.
Phil Jackson was as chill as they come back in the day but he was very successful. Not everyone needs to be Bobby Knight lol.

But he was a nice guy. He had the same facilities as Sampson plus a great recruiting slant with how successful the menâs team was.

And he even had the Jordan brand (which CKS once mentioned âother teamsâ have benefitted from, even tho the Jordan relationship is with him).
I dont know⊠He brought some talent in just not enough size for a complete roster imo and sucked as a coach. I can name a few standouts he brought in individually.
Plus cant compared anyone to coach Sampson at UH. Everyone will fall short because he actually wins big and has a big nil purse lol.
What I am saying is that the success Sampson and the Coogs have had should be a recruiting tool in the womenâs side.
Linda Blair was a really good player for us but not much to go with her.
The new coach is showing some fire and hopefully he turns the program around.
And also hopefully we have some NIL money for the program.

How? How does what Sampson does have anything to do with the women?
Behind closed doors he had a building like sampson and thatâs it - he didnât have the same support off the court and if he complained like Sampson heâs gone earlier - he shouldâve had more success prior to the Big 12 but didnât whatsoever but what can we attest that to? When he went Big 12 it was an uphill battle

Sampson fought for new facilities & for continuously renovating them (of which WBB benefited)âŠSampsonâs relationship with the Jordan brand is why UH currently has it across their jerseys (which Samspon fought for to have them extend over to the womenâs team as well).
I may have misunderstood what he wrote but it seemed like he was saying that Sampson and the teamâs success (meaning wins on the court) should help womenâs recruiting and I just questioned how them winning would sway a female player.
Everything the men got, the women got, that seemed to be a Sampson rule. Especially coming from Lauren Sampson. If I remember right, she was a big factor in that

Got me 2 courtside seats yesterday for $300 each. Free water, soft drinks, popcorn, and peanuts will pay for itself. LOL. Actually excited for our women bkb program.
