We know the problems. What are the solutions?

The solution to selling more season tickets is simple. Jack up the price of season tickets every year. Combine the football and basketball season ticket renewal sales and open at the beginning of December when everyone’s budgets are already stressed. Play your home games on Thursday or Friday nights and your Saturday games at 11 am.

The problem is we can’t fill the stadium if we gave away half the tickets for free.

You have to create a product people WANT to go to.

When I went to the ag game, they had a self serve soft drink refill station. Thought that would be a great idea at TDECU since we get free refills on the souvenir cups. Problem was, at the beginning of the 2nd quarter every drink choice (15-20) was out, and it was just spitting out whatever that nasty water concoction is made of when there’s no soft drink left.

My first thought was how Coogfans would drag us for being bush league if the same thing happened at our stadium.

I love soda water and have several soda streams so I can make my water even fizzier than what I can get at the fountain or topo chico.

Of all the professors, THAT one should know the market better than to say that

Things gotta change fast or these attack pieces will become more common

All citing our “ beat writer” so he’s winning, I guess.

Never go away because you got folks on this very board they can use as source and attest, that we are undeserving to be invited to anything, including dinner at a nice restaurant.

The more I think about this issue, I think solving it is on us, as an existing fanbase. We have to make people want to come to games. The school can only hire so many people. We gotta start treating this jawn like an MLM. If every season ticketholder talked two more people into coming to each game, this thing would be full quick.

That starts, of course, with embedding the Coogs into your social life to the same extent that the Texans’ and Cowboys’ fans do. Make it clear that if there’s a Coog home game and they want to see you, they have one option. Host watch parties for road games. Invite people to games, and if they say no, invite them again next week. Offer to drive, or if you’re not hosting a tailgate, let them use your parking pass and park at Palm Center or the Dynamo Stadium for a game. Do everything in your power to make sure they have a damn good time when they do come out.

Post about it on social media and do not shut up about it. Let them know they’re missing out.

either your in or out - bottom line

if I have to convince you then normally your out - the changing of the game now where players are getting paid and etc we cant keep any consistency and that doesn’t help casual fan unfortunately

Do you think people go to Texans games because the team wins so consistently

I am probably in the wrong on this but I really believe that UH deserves the slaps in the face they’re getting over the bowl selection, attendance woes, and the hit pieces. The lost recruits over fanbases. The lack of students wanting to come here, or even apathy because of how absolutely BORING the day to day life is on campus.

They’ve had since 2021 to turn the school into a Big 12 type of atmosphere. Just like we talked about Dana’s recruiting classes.

They did a good set of changes for TCU. Now go back to the drawing board and prepare for 2026 to be absolutely electric. They cannot screw this up before the 27-30 rounds of realignment.

Maybe I have some right takes… I volunteered time to try and research spirit and stuff for years lol.

The folks who are getting the current campus experience are arguably the demographic we struggle least with, though.

Yeah, people do want to go. The highest attended game was the first one. Lowest was WVU or Arizona. Go figure.

TCU was meh.
