The defense was bad, but it held them to 24 points. That should be plenty for an offense coached by an “offensive genius” to overcome.
That double turnover play kind of summed up the season for me. A comedy of errors.

Better players typically come with recruiting classes furthest away from 106th in the country.
A large % of G5s are out recruiting us…WTF?
This makes me miss the years when we lost colorfully.
This team cant even hold my attention.
On the bright side, Renu didn’t look like a happy camper on the sidelines.

We don’t win
Defense didn’t play that badly. Cincinnati held the ball for nearly a full quarter more than UH, so the defense had to be tired. Plus Nwanko had to leave the game with an injury, and I don’t recall seeing Caldwell later in the second half. Still we stopped them on a few fourth down tries and only gave up 24. The offense was just terrible. That’s why we lost.

The offense didn’t do its part last night. The defense had a number of stops and the offense would just go out on the field and produce 3 and outs. The D eventually got tired and wore out is all.
Defense didn’t play great but holding a team to 24 with 3 INTs and a turnover on downs, not a horrible performance.

I don’t think anyone could honestly make the argument that any facet of the football program is headed in the right direction. You can certainly argue that we’re going downhill, and gaining speed.

I get the defense holding them to 24 part. But keep in mind how terrible Cincy is. I mean before last night I thought they were miserable. Hell, their handoffs looked like they never practiced together. Not on the same level as UTSA this year.
The players are decent. We see it….
We need a coach that doesn’t roll in at 10:30am daily and expects things to change!
They also would benefit from running contact drills more than 1-2x a semester it appears…
From what we’ve collectively heard- Dana runs a XII practice because ya know- the XII is hard!!

It’s paid out over the rest of the contract which is 4 years.
