Week 8 Other Games

You are making a fool of yourself. A player doesn’t need to launch when a receiver is defenseless. They ruled he hit him in the shoulder in an unclear shot and didn’t even cut to the closeup that clearly showed the contact was to the head. The expert rules analyst even confirmed.

Not making a fool of myself. Kyle said the defender launched with the crown of his helmet. His crown didn’t connect. And even the photo he posted shows that. Thats what we were debating.

I realize that’s not needed for targeting. As for what the rules expert says, who cares? The officials overturned it. Their opinion trumps his opinion and all of yours.

impossible.

Tech still in this, Cincy can still unravel here in the fourth

You initially said the shoulder made contact, as if that was a reason to not call it targeting. For it to be targeting, he simply needed to make contact with the head or neck area, which the closeup replay clearly shows that he did.

Shoulder to shoulder. That’s what the initial contact was. You guys can disagree if you want. The officials felt differently because they overturned it. Their opinion is what matters. Probably not gonna decide the outcome of the game though so it really didn’t merit this much discussion.

lol. Tech needs to go here

Wow! Waste of a timeout.

They have to. They don’t get this, it’s over.

The Bearcats get a stop here and they win, if not, their gonna lose.

Do we need tech or Cincy to lose ?

Idk about that. Tech still needs multiple 2pts as well. Cincy stopped one earlier.

Probably better if tech wins out and Coogs win out.

You get in the playoff without a CCG

Neither kills us but a Tech loss is probably better since it increases our CCG odds.

We need to win.

All the siren sounds in the background are messing with Tech’s ability to get plays off haha

Tech burning two timeouts…lol

that’s not what I asked, of course we need to win

This is dumb. Play to win and go. Burned 2 timeouts and tons of time down 16 to settle for 3.

It’s going to be really hard to get 3 bids out of the B12. SEC is almost certainly getting 4 teams. ACC and G6 are guaranteed 1 each. That’s already half your slots. If the B10 gets three bids, the B12 has hope ND picks up some losses or you only have two possible spots.

So with that in mind we’re probably competing with our conference mates at this point. Tech picking up a loss helps us.
