Funny, i grew up on Sunset Blvd in West U. And yes i saw some possums in the neighborhood.
Here in Hollywood i have run into Raccoons late at night, and they get pretty big eating left overs. I was surprised they don’t run away and actually get on their hind legs and stand their ground.
You may already know this, but the lost cat poster was a joke… And later the subject of part of a “This American Life” episode on whether people are basically good or bad.

The picture with the teeth should have made it clear to all.
The poster i have seen recently in Hollywood was of a tape worm, with a lost and found sign. Wonder if people actually thought that one was real too
